Model Crush Monday – Sasha Pivoverova

Few models can claim a track record like Russian beauty Sasha Pivoverova.  Sasha began modeling in 2005 after her friend sent pictures of her to IMG while she was a student at art school. Jump to 2017 and Sasha is still at the top of the modeling world, renowned for her ability to transcend the trends and whims of the the fashion industry.

Known for her wide-set icy blue eyes, high sculpted cheekbones, heart-shaped face, and almost alien-like beauty, Sasha has appeared on runways, on covers  and in campaigns around the world, ranging from high street brands like H&M, to her legendary record-breaking 19 campaigns for Prada.  Not merely a stunning and unique model, Sasha's artwork reflects her own beauty, with dramatic portraits of large-eyed women and fantastical representations of the world around her, that her works have been published in Vogue Paris, and is 2011 she designed a sleepwear collection for GAP.

Model Crush Monday - Angel Josephine Skriver

Danish beauty Josephine Skriver burst into the modeling world at a towering six feet tall with curves that haven't been seen since the super models of the late eighties and early nineties.  

Born to gay parents and conceived through IVF, Josephine is a vocal advocate for the LGBT community and dreams of the day when her upbringing by two gay parents won't be a discussion point, but a completely common and normal type of family life.  

Josephine has shot with top photographers Mario Testino, Greg Kadel, Tim Walker, Patrick Demarchelier, and Steven Meisel, and has appeared in campaigns for Michael Kors, Tom Ford, Mac Cosmetics, Dior, Balmain, and Yves Saint Laurent Beauty.  

After three years working for Victoria's Secret and walking in the annual runway extravaganza, Josephine became an Angel in 2016.

We will see much more of this Danish beauty as she becomes one of the key models for Victoria's Secret and continues to be dominate magazine covers, runways, and campaigns.

Model Crush Monday – French Supermodel Constance Jablonski

La Belle France claims Constance Jablonski, born to a Polish father and French mother in Lille in 1991, as one of their most beautiful supermodels of all time.  A competitive tennis player for nine years, Constance began modeling at age sixteen and was walking international designer runways by age eighteen. 

Becoming an Estee Lauder spokesmodel propelled Constance to international fame and recognition, which led to dozens of international magazine covers and fashion campaigns, for brands such as Sonia Rykiel, Nine West, H&M, and Calvin Klein. 

With a sexy girl-next-door flair that twinkles with a French insouciance, Constance became a Victoria’s Secret angel in 2010, walking in this year’s 2016 show from Paris.  Who better to highlight French beauty than Constance?  Vive la belle France!

Spring Beauty Forecast for 2017!

The Spring 2017 runways were awash with vibrant colors and a noticeable optimism, and the makeup and hair were no exception.  There were two distinct trends and definitely something for everyone, no matter your personal style.

                     

Easy, breezy fresh-faced beauty was shown to perfection at Tory Burch, with clean, glowing skin and neutral colors set off with air-dried natural hair – literally – what could be easier?  And prettier??  The models were made up with sheer, translucent colors that let their own beauty show through.

The eighties made a comeback with stronger, bolder colors for a dramatic flair at shows such as Victoria Beckham who collaborated with Estee Lauder on a capsule makeup collection.  Bold splashes of color playing up one feature, in this case primary colors on the eyes, kept the trend wearable.

No matter which beauty camp you fall into be prepared for a super colorful, bright, fresh, spring.   Go the natural route and keep things rosy and soft, or make a statement with vibrant slashes of color.  Either way, you will be completely on trend without being trendy.  Perfection.
