Found: The Best New Products for Winter Hair Woes

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Cooler days will be bearing down on us soon and the time is now to prepare your hair for the drying conditions of indoor heating and static electricity, and to keep it in good condition to create amazing holiday hair.  Think of all the selfies and photos you will be taking where great hair is non-negotiable.  If you need to touch up your roots or get a trim, make the appointments now.  It’s time to winterize your beauty routine and that includes switching up your haircare products for those that are formulated to treat cold weather haircare issues.

Hair appliances can be tough on hair and add to any damage you already have, so using protective products and making hair treatments such as masks and leave-in conditioners a routine part of your hair care regime are key to keeping your locks gorgeous over the winter months.

Here are my favorite newly-released hair treats available online at sephora.com   My own concerns are strengthening follicles to grow my hair longer, serums to repair split ends, products to protect from heated appliances, and dry scalp treatments.  If you take good care of the condition of your scalp and hair you are much less likely to need products to boost shine, and your new favorite holiday look just might be your own natural style without resorting to up-dos or ponytails to hide damage or neglected hair.

I’m starting this weekend - you KNOW beautiful hair is a BIG DEAL to me!

Falling in Love with the Top New Fall Beauty Picks

The leaves are changing, the temperatures are dipping lower, and fashion is getting cozier. Pumpkin spice lattes are a daily ritual and I am switching out my summer beauty palette for deeper tones and pigments, and warmer shades.  Summer was all about bronzer and glowing skin, holiday will be metallics and richer tones, and fall shades give us a nice bridge between the summer’s beach glow and party season’s glam.

This season’s top beauty picks channel fall leaves, firelight, wild berries, and spices like cinnamon, turmeric and nutmeg, merlot, and harvest moon sunsets.  I love the change of seasons and all that fall has to offer and these delicious new makeup products add to the festive feeling as we head into the holiday season.  More on that in a later post! This girl LOVES the holidays!

In the meantime, I’ll be warming myself up with tall boots, sweaters and scarves, pumpkin spice everything, and this fall’s irresistible shades of beauty.

Happy Feet: Editors’ Favorite Statement Sneakers

Editor’s and street style influencers championed the "dad shoes” / "ugly shoes” trend for yet another month of fashion weeks around the globe this September, proving that sometimes style can actually be comfortable.  Seriously, this is one trend I am ALL OVER.  Now is the best time to take advantage of the athleisure trend to wear  sneakers everywhere, all the time, while staying completely fashion forward .  My happy feet will be in such better shape to handle heels and stilettos over the holiday season when the time comes, after being pampered with cozy comfort on a daily basis.  Bonus: these wonder sneakers are perfect for fall weather until boots become essential.

The new crop of covetable sneakers are graphic in color and design with chunky soles, cushy interiors and as far from classic as it gets.  Editors and style stars wore them with everything from pants to skirts, short and long, causal and formal, pairing them in conventional and unconventional ways as they darted from show to showroom, lunch to meetings.   Whatever your budget there are amazing options available and the only problem will be how to choose just one.  Here are my favorites, both my dream shoes and their affordable counterparts.  Models, stars, and style celebs agree that this year’s shoe is made for walking.
